Biography
Personal
Michelle Chambers was born and raised in Jamaica. During her
youth, Michelle swam competitively for both her preparatory
and high school swim teams, and attended ballet and modern
dance classes until she graduated high school in 1988. While
in college, Michelle majored in pre-med/dental, but decided
in her third year that she no longer wished to pursue
studies in this field. Instead, traveling was more to her
liking, and like a large percentage of Floridians she
pursued a real estate career but soon discovered it lacked
the glamour she hoped to find.
Throughout her college years and afterwards, Michelle always
enjoyed training in the gym but it took some encouragement
from a family member of hers before she decided to make it a
career. Since then, Michelle has never looked back and
attended the Fitness Institute International to become a
certified personal training specialist. Michelle is also a
certified personal trainer with the National Strength and
Conditioning Association (NSCA), and is certified in CPR/AED/First
Aid with the American Heart Association.
My Mission
As a fitness professional and mother of a four-year-old, I
am very aware of the challenges facing moms, and future
moms, in reaching and maintaining their fitness goals. Who
we are, and who we will be, is defined by how we respond to
these challenges. My primary goal as a fitness trainer here
at One2One Fitness is to assist the individual with a
plan to optimize your health through both physical training
and sound nutrition. |
