On Saturday, November 5th, One To One Fitness once again TEAMED UP with Kids In Distress for our 8th annual FUNdraiser and 3rd annual Team Fitness Challenge to help raise much-needed money for the prevention and treatment of child abuse in our South Florida communities.
Attendance was great and thanks to all of you, we were able to raise over $15,000.00.

In our ongoing efforts to help the needy children of South Florida, Manny and the One To One Fitness family have been helping the boys of “His House”. His House Children's Home is a private, non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to restoring the joy in the lives of children from newborn to age 18. The organization provides residential care for abused, neglected & drug-exposed children in a home-like setting. His House is committed to breaking the cycle of abuse, while meeting the emotional, medical, educational and social needs of each child. Manny has been spending time with these 17 otherwise neglected young boys and has donated needed gym equipment to His House.
On December 18th he planned and executed a very exciting day for the boys and with the help from the One To One Fitness family took them shopping for cross-training sneakers at Sports Authority, lunch at Chessecake Factory, and finished the day off with a hockey game at Bank Atlantic Center.

I just wanted to let everyone know that because of your generosity we were able to raise $2000 for the kids at 'His House' Childrens Home (www.hhch.org) this year. In addition to these funds, Manny Mair also held a fund raiser and treated 17 boys to a shopping spree at Sports Authority, lunch at Cheesecake Factory and lower level seats at a Florida Panther game last weekend.
After speaking to the house parents at His House, here is how we are planning to use the funds.
- Christmas morning gifts (Skullcandy headphones for each kid)
- $100 gift card for the house parent (Dillman)
- Household items that the house parent asked for (some folks donated items and the rest will be purchased with the funds we raised)
- $100 was donated to the general 'His House' fund.
- Outing - take 17 kids paint balling and lunch.
- etc, etc.
Thank you so much for helping add some holiday cheer to these kids lives. I'd also like to invite anyone that would like to join us for paint balling (date = TBD, most likely a Saturday). Just let me know if you are interested. You will have a blast!
If anyone is planning to make a New Year's resolution to get in better shape, please check out the web sites below. Manny & Dorron have been out to His House on multiple occasions to speak to the boys, host a Boot Camp and donate exercise equipment. They have really connected with the boys and I'm so thankful they have gotten involved.
