Adrienne Silver was born in New York City, NY. She attended N.Y.U.
where she received her degree in Occupational Therapy. She was hired in 1978 by
American Airlines and worked in their Human Resources Department. It was
then that she realized and pursued her passion – RUNNING!
During her 24 year tenure at American Airlines, Adrienne founded the American Airlines, Dallas Fort Worth, John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia and Miami International Airport Running Clubs. She also served as Founder and President of the Westside Road Runners Club based in Coral Springs, Florida.
After her last stop within the airline industry, Adrienne moved on to new and different endeavors and became co-owner of Premier Running & Soccer, a specialty store in Coral Springs, Florida for running and soccer enthusiasts.
Adrienne is the mother of three daughters. They are all academic achievers and competitive soccer players. She is nationally ranked in her age group in 5K runs, half marathons and marathons. She has participated in both the Boston and New York City Marathons twice, as well as the Miami Marathon and the Miami Corporate Run where she took First Place.
Adrienne is presently a running coach as well as a Track and Field coach in Boca/Delray and Cross Country coach at American Heritage also in Boca/Delray.
She specializes in Deep Water Running and is currently conducting research for Orthopedist, Dr. Howard Gelb and the American Orthopedic Association on deep water running for rehabilitation of injured athletes and to help enhance performance. She is implementing an ACL/MCL injury prevention training for female soccer players and following the initial training of test athletes, this program will be available to all interested South Florida Soccer Programs.
